Karma Online: Prisoners of the Dead Closed Beta Kicks Off June 7

Two-week long closed beta to start next Tuesday.
Joymax announced today that it’s set to start Karma Online’s closed beta on June 7, 2011. Contrary to an earlier announcement made a few weeks ago, the closed beta will now run from June 7 – 21, instead of May 24. And as mentioned, you’ll be able to win an in-game weapon (a Golden VT40 Bayonet) by registering with Joymax and participating in the closed beta.

The pre-launch beta for Three Kingdoms Brawler has launched on May 26, The9 Interactive announced recently. The 2D beat ‘em up casts you in the role of a legendary warrior in the chaotic Three Kingdoms period in ancient China, where you need to fight for your kingdom and bring an end to the chaos. The pre-launch beta is basically another way of saying “open beta”, so you can actually play the game right now without a beta key or having to worry about losing your character data.

If you haven’t heard the news yet, Raptr just launched its social news platform earlier this week. I’ve only been using it for a couple of days and I already like it more than Digg, reddit and N4G. Funcom announced today that Age of Conan will relaunch this summer under a new name and business model. The new release of Age of Conan, titled “Age of Conan: Unrated“, will introduce a hybrid business model that will allow players to play for free and access about half of the game’s content, or pay a monthly subscription fee and gain full access to everything the game has to offer.

Ubisoft has announced Ghost Recon Online, a F2P military tactical shooter developed by Ubisoft Singapore. If you have ever played a Ghost Recon game before, you’ll probably know what to expect from this tactical, cover-based third-person shooter. Celebrating the 30th anniversary of Wizardry (Coincidentally, it’s also Wizardry 8′s 10th anniversary), Gamepot Japan announced on May 21st that it’s developing a new MMORPG based on the Wizardry IP, dubbed “Wizardry Online”.
APB Open Beta Rescheduled to May 23

Open beta for MMO shooter starts next Monday.
Earlier this Wednesday, the day APB: Reloaded was supposed to begin its open beta, GamersFirst made a decision to postpone the test due to a bug that was causing some players to disconnect after one or two hours of play. The new patch (v1.5.1.85), scheduled to release on May 23, will ready the game for a public release and mark the beginning of the open beta.
