Monster Hunter Frontier maker reveals mysterious new online game.
Capcom’s online division has a mysterious new online title called “Ixion Saga” in the works, according to the latest issue of Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. The game will reportedly feature eight on eight battles, mixing guns, swords, magic and giant monsters.

Sci-fi third-person shooter dives into free-to-play waters.
Developer Biart Studio announced today that an MMO version of its sci-fi third-person shooter Deep Black is currently in the works. Dubbed Deep Black Online, the F2P game is scheduled to enter beta testing in Q4 2012. That’s more than a year away. But those interested can get an early taste of the aquatic shooter by getting the retail version of the game, which is coming to the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this summer.

Team Fortress 2 Goes Free-to-Play

Valve makes its debut in the free-to-play market with Team Fortress 2.
Valve’s critically acclaimed multiplayer shooter is now free-to-play. The free-to-play update came bundled with TF2′s “Über Update”, which is, according to Valve, the “largest content pack delivered to TF2 since it shipped in 2007.” Everyone can now download and play the game for free, and those who bought the game prior to the update or have spent money in the Mann Co. store are automatically upgraded to premium member status.
