Mabinogi’s latest update, the Alchemist, introduced an entirely new skill set, zone, missions, and monsters. Of the newly introduced monsters, Claimh Solas is the fiercest and most terrifying. Players have the opportunity to ban together to battle this demonic creature every Saturday once they approach the end of the Alchemist storyline.

Claimh Solas was brought back to life to begin “Noitar Arat,” or, “The World of Darkness.” He was revived by Alchemy and drags himself from the dark and rotting earth that surrounds him. Players brave enough to face this grotesque and evil creature of darkness will do so in a closed off arena where they will work together to weaken this winged boss monster in order to call upon Adniel, the Golden Dragon from Mabinogi: Dragon, to assist in the Formor’s defeat.

After defeating Claimh Solas, players shouldn’t get too comfortable, as this demon returns to life in an encore finale. Uglier than before, this Formor’s wings have decayed and are replaced with an assembly of razor sharp swords that are launched at unsuspecting players standing within the monster’s line of sight.

When you create a character, you can choose to become one of the three available races, including Human, Elf and Giant. What sets Mabinogi’s character creation apart from other MMORPGs is the ability to determine the “age” of your character.
