Codenamed “Project NT”, the development of this cel-shaded MMORPG is led by Sang Won Chung, former CEO of Nexon Corporation. Sang Won founded Thingsoft together with Neowiz after he left Nexon in 2004, and started developing Project NT earlier last year (around the same time the studio split with its parent company Neowiz).

Digimon Masters Online

Digimon MMO due out later this year.

Digimon Masters Online, the free MMORPG based on Digimon Data Squad, now has a teaser site and closed beta date. On the teaser site there’s a mysterious line of text that reads “close beta D-19″. Using my finely tuned detective skills, I have concluded that “beta” is getting “close” and Digimon anime will actually be good again! Okay, not really. It probably just means the closed beta is 19 days away (which puts it around August 9).

DotA 2

MOBA sequel coming “soon”.

We haven’t heard anything from the DotA 2 team since last November, so anything new on the game is worth noting at this point. At the last paragraph of a recent news announcing Valve’s plans to dominate gamers’ hard drives even further with speedier game downloads, Valve said this: “Soon, Dota 2 will be delivered using it.” But coming from Valve, “soon” could be anywhere from 2 months to 9 years to never. I’d keep my fingers crossed.
