This went F2P recently when Turbine implemented it in North America, but Codemasters have delayed the move to F2P for the European release.

Due to codemasters handling of this, which has been pretty bad, people don't even have a switch over date yet. European players are very annoyed at the situation, and have started opening turbine accounts to play on the American servers, it has also led to many new players who started trial accounts on the promise of it going F2P, leaving for other games.
