Xtreme version of Vindictus to debut at gamescom 2011 in Cologne.
Nexon will be unveiling Vindictus: Xtreme and Vindictus Europe at the gamescom 2011 in Cologne on August 17, offering playable demos of the game for those who visit Nexon’s show floor at Hall 9.1 Booth B021/C020.
“Nexon’s first visit to the entertainment hall at gamescom will be a memorable one,” said Nexon EU CEO Sung Jin Kim. “Vindictus has been one of the most anticipated game in Europe and we are excited to finally present the Xtreme Edition to our fans at the world‘s largest gaming show. We invite you to Nexon’s booth to participate in events, win awesome prizes and experience the future of free-to-play, Vindictus, that will soon begin its closed beta this September.“
For those who don’t know, Vindictus: EXtreme is the “beat ‘em up” version of Vindictus, featuring jumping, easier-to-pick-on enemies and air combos. The game is released separately from the regular version of Vindictus in South Korea and whether it’ll be the same for the rest of the world remains to be seen.
European gamers will likely get the more action-oriented Xtreme edition of Vindictus first, as Nexon seems eager to make up for Vindictus’s numerous delays in Europe. As a special treat for European gamers, Nexon has released a trailer showcasing the European version of Vindictus: Xtreme, which you can watch below.
Vindictus Europe’s closed beta is set to kick off in September, with the official launch coming later this year. For more information, check out the official website.
